Default Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism Protein Resistence
How well do your Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism resist protein buildup? Do you use a special cleaning solution to keep the protein off?

I'm not sure which kind you use, but aren't most of these disposable? from daily to biweekly?

What's biguanide? Does it have anything to do with protein build up?

In answer to Sliq1's question, Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism are designed to be worn for seven days and six nights.

Biquanides are a small molecule disinfecting agent that can enter a softlens matrix,bind to the lens and bind proteins to the lens surface.This is more likley to happen with high water/ silicone content lenses (Advance,Oasys Optix).Patients comment that their lenses feel "gunky". ReNu contains a biguanid
