People don't generally develop presbyopia until They Reach a Certain Age. Who here started wearing Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia at the earliest age?

Well I can tell you I had to start wearing glasses for closeup at only age 25. Would not have discovered I needed them if I weren't doing closeup work for a living. After I got them, I then wondered if that were the reason I had lost interest in reading the books I devoured daily as a child and as a teenager. It was just too confusing and difficult to even get through one page of a book for a few years till I got the glasses.
So if I had been interested in contacts then, I think that's a pretty young age. I still wonder if I had true Presbyopia or was it Hyperopia or I was "farsighted" from a young age. Are there any other names for that vision problem in a young person? I still remember putting on those glasses and seeing the weave of the fibers on an Oxford Cloth shirt, something I had not seen in years, if ever. |

I think 'hyperopia" and "farsightedness" are the only names for this condition. I've never heard any other names. Oh wait, don't some people call it "long-sightedness"? |
