Default A Toric Lens That's as Comfortable as the Acuvue Oasis Contact

I know of someone who wears Acuvue Oasys in one eye and needs a toric contact lens in the other eye. He's looking for a toric contact lens that's as comfortable as the Oasys contacts. Any recommendations?

You're right. It's called Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism.

Yup, Oasys comes in toric. I wear one toric and one normal in Oasys, both very comfortable.

Hey, neat. Do both lenses feel the same in your eyes?

Yeah pretty much. When I first started wearing them I could notice the non toric was more comfortable, but the more I wore them the more comfortable they become. I forget I'm wearing either now.

I'm sure that's very encouraging to people who have been thinking about buying contact lenses, but were unsure about needing only one toric lens.

Lightbulb Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism

Hi all. I havent posted in months.

My eye doc and i spent a year (okay, 11 months) trying to find the right gas perms for me. Our focus was to go the monovision route. Gas perms are cheaper, vision thru them is supposed to be more clear and crisp, and they correct astigmatism, which i have in both eyes although it is not extreme in either... but anyway, my brain just wasnt able to adjust to the whole near/far thing, and there wasnt a lens to be found that my right eye was happy with.

So i was talking with my best friend one evening, trying to figure out how i can wear contacts at all. I guess i'm a little vain but i just feel that i look better without glasses. Like most people my budget is pretty darned tight but i was able to gather up a few pieces of gold jewelry to sell and came up with enough to justify spending the extra $100 or whatever it is a year (THIS year anyway) on lenses i could actually wear that werent quite as cost efficient as my gas perms were.

The idea I finally came up with was to get contacts for distance and then just get cheap reader glasses for when i'm at work on the computer all day. I paid yet another visit to my eye doc and shared my idea with her and it was like a lightbulb lit up her eyes. "ah HA!" it looked like she wanted to say. So she took off out of the room and came back with a pair a Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism and man, what a great feeling lens! I think i might've even uttered "Ahhhhhh!" when she first put them in, they just felt so great and the vision in them was so clear.

Over the years, i had worn several different brands of soft lenses but seriously, these are the best by far for comfort and clarity. So for a week and a half i wore the trial pair doc gave me this time around, and by then they were getting a little blurry after i'd had them in all day. I had cleaned them every few days so i knew they were not dirty. i went back in to see the doc once more and just a couple of tweaks later, here I am, happy as a lamb. Great lenses. From my recent gas perm experiences, i'd say that, if these are not as clear, they are a very close runner-up! I really love them.
