I have a question:
The Acuvue Oasys two week lenses. Does this mean I can wear them 14 times, or that they will only be able to be used for 14 days even if in storage? I have not worn this pair 14 times, and wonder if I can still wear them up until the 14th time in my eyes. I keep them very clean, and use Opti Free Replenish and rewetting drops. Thanks for any help! |

You ask a very good question, and I think I have the answer for you. If you look at the category this thread is in, you will see that Acuvue Oasys are called "1-2 week" lenses. In the case of 1-2 week lenses, they can last for 7 days if you wear them continuously, or 14 days if you take them out every night. If you happen to skip a day, then I think you can safely wear them one more time. Usually with contact lenses, it's not the number of days the package is unsealed, but the number of times you put the contacts in. However, if you keep your Oasys contacts in your eyes for a week straight, they're done, even though you've only put them in once. Make sense? If not, let me know and I'll try again, or else someone else might come along and explain it better. |
