Let's say someone has been happily wearing Acuvue Toric contacts for a few years. He goes to the eye doctor and he's told that his astigmatism is slightly worse, so a very small adjustment is made in his prescription.
He goes home with his new, very slightly stronger contacts in, and his eyes feel tired and strained. Out of curiosity he tries a pair of his old contacts and they feel great. Is it just his imagination, or can a single increment in prescription be too much? If the progression in the astigmatism is that small, how did the eye doctor detect it? Would it be okay if our hero buys a box of his old prescription and then changes over to the new one when that box runs out? |

Hi Garfield 21. I'm not a doctor, and my non-professional opinion would be to go back to your eye doctor and let him or her (A lot of eye doctors seem to be female, these days) check your eyes again. He/She will probably just let you go back to your older, more comfortable prescription. After all, the important thing is that you are able to see clearly and comfortably.
