Default Color Coordinating A151 Supernova S Sunglasses' Lenses

I never really thought about this until someone brought it up in an article. These sunglasses have brown lenses, as you can see. Does that mean you have to make sure that whatever you're wearing doesn't clash with the color of the lenses? If your shirt matches the frames, does that mean you're good to go with the lens color, too?

Hi Shade Maiden,

This is a good question. I'm no fashion expert, and if you could see me right now you'd probably agree.

I can, however match colors fairly well. It's my opinion that most sunglasses come with lenses that are black, gray or brown, sometimes yellow. These colors pretty much go with everything, so I don't think you're in much danger of clashing colors.

However, if you have a pair of sunglasses with a tortoise shell frame and you're wearing a patterned shirt, it may not look so good.

So what do the other good people of Lens 101 think about this?

Thanks, KITT. I can't really picture someone wearing tortoise shell sunglasses with say, a striped shirt. I think it would look bad, though.

It might look bad, and it might not. tortoise shell sunglasses with a striped shirt wouldn't hurt your eyes like striped pants with a plaid shirt. Sunglasses are so small compared to a shirt that I don't think they'll clash too much.

Look at this guy:

How long did it take for you to notice his sunglasses?

Boy I sure hope that's his knee next to his right arm . . .
