How long should it take for me to adjust to Air Optix progressive. Distance is sharp but mid and reading comes in and out of focus. I've never worn contacts or glasses.

Hi there, Tobytigger,

I wish I could tell you that you will get used to your Air Optix Progressive contact lenses in eight days, seventeen hours, thirty-one minutes and fifty eight seconds, but it's not that easy. Since you've never worn contacts or glasses before, it could take some time. Did you eye doctor give you a wearing schedule? Usually you only wear them for an hour or two the first day and then gradually increase your wearing time until you're wearing them all day.

Let us know how it goes, okay? Good luck.

Good thing you quoted that nonsensical answer because it has since been deleted. So has the screen name, apparently.

Okay, moving right along . . .

How's it going, Toby? Are you able to read with those Air Optix progressive lenses now? Was Logoppolis' answer helpful?

This will be the ninth post asking about him/her. I think Logopolis is right. The contacts feel great and tobytigger isn't thinking about Lens 101 any more. That seems to happen a lot around here.

Come back, tobytigger!

Is there anyone else out there who wears Air Optix Progressive lenses? How long did it take you to adjust to them. How do you know you've adjusted anyway?

I suppose you would know that you had become adjusted when mid and reading no longer comes in and out of focus, but stays sharp.

That's one way to know, anyway.

I'd say that was pretty good criteria, Railfan.

It's sad, but true, Stylinbabe.
