Default Troubles with Air Optix Aqua

Hello,

My eye doctor switched me to Air Optix Aqua a month ago after years of using Sofmed lens. I had a problem with my trial pair where one contact was not visibly ripped, even with the doctors microscope there was no visible problem, but my eye would feel like the contact was ripped. She switched the contact out for a new one of the same kind and my eye immediately felt relief, so she went ahead and put in a prescription for AOA. Since then I've gone through 6 lenses total that have had this exact problem. Not one contact has had a visible rip, and most have failed in under a week, some even a day or two.

I read on here a Mr.Marcel saying something about the CIBA X660 stamp being to close to the edge of the contact. He seemed kind of like a troll to me because I couldn't really find any other info about the problem through a google search, but I am having huge problems with these lenses. I am calling my doctor tomorrow if work will allow, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience or advice for me.

Thanks,
Ben

Hello Ben. It's a shame that all those contact lenses felt so uncomfortable with no visible cause. Mr. Marcel was not the only one to post about the stamp on the lens making some people uncomfortable. They call it an "inversion mark" because it helps you see if the lens is inverted, or inside out. Do a search here for inversion marks and you'll probably get some valuable information.
