Default Air Optix Aqua lenses disappearing

I'm relatively new to using contact lenses--about 2 months. I've experienced two occasions where the lense has completely disappeared from my eye. In one instance the lense had irritated my eye after being put in place in the morning . It disappeared sometime during that day. A few days ago I unintentionally wore the lenses overnight. I showered in the morning and noticed that both lenses felt extremely dry afterwards. I used drops to ease the dryness. That night when I went to remove the lenses, one had disappeared completely. Has anyone experience the same problem that I have with Air Optix Aquas? Is it normal for lenses to disappear that easily?

I have one other question for veteran contact wearers. When I remove my contacts I simply pinch them out of my eye. I've read where others apparently slide the lenses down to white portion before pinching them. Is my method incorrect?

Hi, are these the day and night? I also am new to contacts. I have unintentionaly went to sleep with these reg ones on(not the nightlies) I did notice how terribly dry my eyes were from sleeping in them and the lenses felt like they may fall out. I took my lenses out right away.(on hind sight I should have put drops in brefor removing as I somehow tore one of the lenses) I know for one thing it is a no no to shower with lenses on.
So far so good with this brand.

Hi turbobob. I'm thinking that those lenses somehow fell out. That would explain how they just seemed to vanish.
As for your question about removing your contacts, some people don't like to pinch their lenses from their sensitive corneas, so they move the lens to the less sensitive sclera (white) of the eye and remove the lens from there. It's not uncommon.
