Default Is there such a thing as 90 days air optix aqua?

Hi.
I just bought a pack of 3 pairs of Air Optix Aqua for 90$ . They( eye hospital in Iran) said each pair is for 3 months, but I can't find anything in their site nor web mentioning these are for 3 months period.Should I be worry about it?
Thank you.

Lens.com has these contact lenses listed as "monthly disposable" lenses. I can explain your experience in three ways. One, Air Optix Aqua may be listed as monthly here in the US, but as three month lenses in other countries. Two, maybe your eye doctor was just trying to sell you some lenses by telling you what you want to hear, or three, maybe you've got very, very healthy eyes and you can wear monthly lenses for three months. Perhaps you should seek a second opinion.

Thank you so much.
I sent an email to cibavision ( I mentioned I'm in Iran) and they replied:

AIR OPTIX® AQUA lenses are recommended for daily wear or up to six nights of extended wear as recommended by your eye care professional. To help encourage healthy lens wear and higher patient compliance, CIBA VISION recommends a replacement schedule for AIR OPTIX AQUA lenses for up to 4 weeks regardless if the lenses are worn daily wear or extended wear. For addition product information, please review the package insert at this link:
I was interested in gp lenses at first, but she (Optometrist I guess) told there isn't much difference in terms of Visual Acuity, yearly cost,... and recommended soft contacts. All the time she spent to check my eyes was less than 5 minutes and she didn't give me any prescription (noorvision hospital, they claim they are one the bests in middle east and world).
I have myopia (-3.25) and it's my first time using contact lenses.

Thanks again.

Hello hike, and welcome to Lens 101. People say that RGP lenses give you much clearer vision that soft lenses, but your results may vary.
You might want to take a look at Lens.com. They've got all kinds of contact lenses, hard and soft, and you can compare prices. Just look up an RGP lens and see how much it costs (remember that you'll need two of them.) Then see how much a year's supply of the soft lenses will cost. Again, don't forget that you'll need 24 lenses total if they last for a month.
Will you tell us what your results are?

Thank you mary. I'll check it for sure, but paying the price is a big problem here, because of sanctions and no relations between Iran and USA most don't have credit cards like visa, master card, though it's still possible to buy online it just cost more, but shipping to Iran and delivery is another story.
As I said I paid 90$ for 3 pairs of air optix aqua (6 lenses) here that is really expensive and unfair as I'm comparing to 25$ price at lens.com
I'll write more.
Thank you again.

Wow, it's so cool to have a member from Iran! Welcome to Lens 101.
I'm afraid you may be right about ordering on line without a credit card. I don't know about Lens.com's policies regarding selling contact lenses outside the United States. The FAQ section says "We ship orders world wide every day, delivery times are usually 5-10 business days from dispatch."
Maybe you can send them an email and ask: Service@Lens.com

NOT to worry! Air optix Aqua does come in a made to order lens but only ECP's know about this....

The custom order Air optix aqua lenses have more expanded fittings....So my guess your eyes were challenging to fit.

THey are 3 month lenses tho....they type of lens is called "planned replacement"

Thanks for that explanation, luvbostonxo2. I hope hike found it useful. Are Air Optix Aqua "planned replacement?" I've never heard of a lens being worn for three months. I've pretty much heard of daily replacement, weekly, monthly and annual, with some of the weekly lenses able to be worn for two weeks if not slept in. What are some more examples of lenses that will last for three months?

Hmm. I wasn't sure what you meant by "Coopervision Preference" so I looked up "preference" in the Coopervision section of Lens.com and found Preference DW/FW, which evidently comes in a pink box (just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month) and Preference Standard in the blue box, Preference Toric DW, and Preference Toric XR.

So which one of these can be worn for three months? All of them?

Are those the only lenses that can be worn for three months? Does anyone else know of any more brands of contact lenses that last for three months?

To my knowledge cb has discontinued the air optix custom ordered lenses. They are slightly thicker and are 3 or 4 month lenses. The custom range has expanded base curves and higher powers.
