Default Air Optix only option!

So I've been a contact lens wearer since 1989. I'm 41 now and recently discovered my eyes are -7.34 or thereabouts. I have worn Oasys since they came out and love them. My doctor put me in a -7.50 since Oasys doesn't come in -7.25. My distance vision was perfect but reading was a challenge - everything was blurry.

Doc told me it's because I need a -7.25 and the -7.50 is too strong. His only recommendation is Air Optix Aqua. Literally no other lens comes in a -7.25! So I'm at a loss. I'm basically giving up UV protection and a higher oxygen permeability lens for Air Optix Aqua.

Is the lesser oxygen permeability much of an issue for those of you who've switched? Bloodshot eyes etc....?

I trailed Night and Day but my right eye wasn't having it due to the smaller diameter.

Do you think maybe a multi-focal at -7.50 with a LO add would work to fix the near blurry vision? Or am I pretty much stuck with Air Optix Aqua?

I've been wearing -7.00 for a couple years now and started having distance issues again this year.
