Do Air Optix Aqua contacts absorb the solution they're stored in?

Multi purpose or packing?
![]() The simple answer is yes but so do all contact lenses it's basic surface interactions - although not all lenses absorb the same ingredient to the same degree |

Really? I didn't know all that. I guess I was talking about the multipurpose solution. So to rephrase my question: Do Air Optix Aqua contacts absorb the multipurpose solution they're stored in? Can they soak up so much solution that they swell up and don't fit any more?

silicone hydrogels behaves a bit differently.....the uptake of contact lens solution preservatives does occur but definately much more than reg hema soft lenses. most multipurpose solutions are gentle enough that they do not change the lens parameters but soft lenses do change slightly (fractions of a mm) due to wear and tear. |
