There are probably lots of people who are exploring this site because they're thinking about getting contact lenses.
Hello out there. ![]() Now for those of you who have worn contact lenses for years, can you please assure these nice people that nothing bad is going to happen when that Air Optix Aqua contact lens touches their eyeball? |

Relax, you're fine. Air Optix Aqua are 1-2 week contact lenses, which means that if you don't sleep in them, they'll last for two weeks. If you DO sleep in them, they'll only last a week, so for one, it's fine to sleep in these as long as you don't sleep in the same pair for more than six nights. Secondly, if for some reason you woke up and your contacts were gone, they very probably fell out; because of the way your eyes and eye sockets were put together, it's completely 100% impossible for your contacts to go behind your eyes. The only way it could happen would be for your contacts to somehow get forced through the membrane that surrounds you eyes, and I doubt if you would sleep through that. They probably just fell out. If you can't find your contacts on your pillow or someplace nearby, they may have worked their way under your eyelids, in which case a sympathetic friend or parent can help you find it and fish it out. Worst case scenario, you go to the Emergency Room and an eye doctor will probably get it out in about five minutes. Feel better? ![]() Last edited by Pudgefisk; 09-26-2008 at 09:47 AM.. |

I recently got these contacts, and my eye doctor told me I could wear them for 4 weeks. Maybe they improved the contacts for longer wear? |
