Hi everybody.
I've seen some posts here that claim that O2 Optix contact lenses are the same as Air Optix Aqua. I wrote to CIBAvision to see if they could clear this up, and here is part of the answer I received. "Good afternoon, The difference between the two lenses is: The Air Optix Aqua features our AQUA Moisture System, which includes a unique moisture agent that helps lubricate the lens for initial comfort, a patented lens material that helps maintain moisture by minimizing the rate of lens dehydration for comfort all day, and an ultra-smooth surface with superior wettability and excellent deposit resistance for comfort every day." Notice the words "unique" and "patented." Someone said that there was nothing to indicate that there was anything special about either one of these lenses, but there's the word "unique" right there. I suggest that if there are any more questions on this issue they should be directed to CIBAvision. Here's their email address: tccr.atlanta@cibavision.com I hope that clears up the confusion about these two lenses. |

So I guess we're done huh? Air Optix Aqua and O2 Optix are not the same lens?

No, they're not, at least as far as the Air Optix Aqua's "unique moisture agent" and "patented lens material" are concerned.

So there we have it from a person who has actually worn both lenses. After all that time we finally heard from someone with experience. |
