Hi Tonya. Welcome to our little corner of the Internet.

Expensive contact lens prescription, huh? Well, let's see what we can do.

Have you tried our sponsor, Lens.com? They sell Air Optix for Astigmatism for $48.95 for a box of six.

If you can get a prescription from your doctor for the non-toric (Toric lenses correct astigmatism.) Air Optix Aqua, they are $33.95 for a box of six.

Lens.com sells them for even less if you order at least three boxes for each eye.

Let me know if that helps. I hope so.

You should ask your doctor... he should be able to give you a trial of non-toric lenses. They usually have heaps of those types of trial lenses around as they are a bit easier to stock, having less parameters.

I have cyl -.75 in the left eye and it used to be cyl -.75 in the right eye, but now it is -1.25. I have to say I prefer the toric lenses in either, especially for computer work or reading.

Thanks for that information closey. You're right, trial lenses are a good idea if you're trying something new like non-toric lenses. I'm glad torics work for you.
