Good morning; for the last two weeks I have noticed blurred vision in my right eye. After a visit to my Optometrist, I was diagnosed with Overwear Syndrome/Corneal Edema. B&L Muro 128 5% solution & ointment was prescribed. I have been having difficulty removing my right lens (Air Optix for Astigmatism) [base curve=8.7]. Perhaps it is or has become too tight!?
Has anyone had a similar experience? How long was the recovery time? Were you switched to another lens? Have you had a recurrence? Best Regards Harold |

Sorry to read about the blurred vision. You say you've been diagnosed with corneal edema. The word "edema" means swelling, so if your corneas are swollen then yes, your contact lens is probably too tight on your right eye. Hopefully with time and following your eye doctor's instructions, your cornea will recover, the swelling will go down and you'll be fine. Let us know, okay. I wish you well. |
