Default Toric Air Optix corrects for presbyopia?

Hi all,

I have been wearing toric Air Optix for a couple of years now, and while my distance vision, lens stability, and low-light vision have not been what I would call 'superior' with these lenses - I have noticed that these lenses tend to correct for presbyopia. Has anyone noticed the same thing?

This just recently became apparent as I am now trialing a pair of Biofinity lenses with the very same prescription as the Air Optix. While the distance clarity, stability and low-light vision is much better with the Biofinity - I must say that near vision is much better with the Air Optix!

Has anyone had a similar experience?

I'm in the market for the best lens which best addresses all of these things - however, it seems that I am swapping favorite parameters when I change lenses.

Any ideas?

Hi bowman. Thanks for stopping by. I'm afraid I don't know much about presbyopia. By that you mean far-sightedness, right? Have you heard of Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia? They would probably be helpful to you.

Hi Type40,

Yes, presbyopia makes it more difficult to focus on reading, up close things, etc. as a person ages.

I'm not sure how the Acuvue lenses work. What I am looking for is contact lenses that will correct for astigmatism, myopia, presbyopia, and have good low-light vision - all rolled into one.

Do you know of a maker of such a lens?

Thanks!

Wow, you've got a lot going on, haven't you? You may want to look into Softcon EW contact lenses. They're custom made so they can probably help you with those issues.

Hi bowman. I don't know if Acuvue Oasys For Presbyopia can do all that. Has your eye doctor made any recommendations? Is that why you got the Biofinity lenses?
