Default Left contact gets a teeny bit dry after a few hours

So I have been wearing a trial pair of Air Optix for Astigmatism since Friday.
I do notice that a few hours after I put them in, the left one will get a teeny bit dry and it's almost like I can feel just the top right part of it sticking to my eye.......The right one seems to be fine and I have not experienced this with it.

I go back Friday morning for a follow-up.

Has anybody experienced this?
Do you think the axis cylinder needs to be adjusted?
Or perhaps I just need to add a drop a few times a day and deal?
They are extremely comfy when this is not happening.

Do you know that right after I posted that, I haven't had any problems with the lens. I did put a couple of drops in.... and it feels totally fine, now.
UGH!! I really Love them and don't want to have to end up trying something else. I am going to keep a log and write down when it happens...if it happens, again. I go back to my Dr. for my follow-up friday morning.

I'm glad you're starting to feel better, rileydc. I hope that things continue to improve for you. Make sure that you tell us what happens at the doctor's on Friday.

It has happened yesterday around 4:30pm....
and then this a.m. around 10:00a.m......
It has been fine, ever since.

Seems to happen maybe once a day.
I can totally deal with that..... if I have to.

Wasn't sure if anyone else who has dry eyes and an astigmatism
has experienced something like that and how normal it is.

I don't suppose that it's all that unusual for someone with astigmatism, myopia or any other eye problem to experience some dryness now and then.

Default Follow-Up Eye Appointment

I had my follow-up appointment with my eye dr. this morning.
Although I can see crystal clear.....when I sat down in the chair, I could not read any of the letters........

He said both contacts were rotating slightly so he changed the axis in each eye.

That must have been disturbing to be unable to read that chart in the doctor's office. I hope that axis adjustment did the trick.

Yeah... it was just a bit....because the whole way there everything was crystal clear.... and even now, after the fact.
He adjusted the axis, but didn't have a trial pair for me to try. He had me order a box and if there are any problems, I can return them....
So I still have the pair in I got last Friday....although they seem crystal clear to me, still. - I am hoping the new ones with the new axis work.

Did your doctor happen to explain why your contact lenses kept going in and of focus like that? How about that pair that you said you got "last Friday"? Are they still good?

He said they were both slightly rotating.
I didn't get any last Friday. I ordered what he told me to order
and am waiting for the box to arrive.

Default Update!

So my box of Air Optix came in Monday. I put them in Monday afternoon.... They seemed to be good.....although I could tell they would rotate just a bit occasionally. I called my Dr. this morning to see if I could run in and have him look to see if they were fitting correctly. I went in around noon and could read the chart with the right eye fine.... the left eye was a little blurred.

So, he has changed the axis on the left lens and ordered another box.
They will call me when the box arrives.... and I will report back.

OMG!! The Saga Continues!!
My new doctor can't seem to fit my left eye!! The old doctor couldn't fit the right eye.

Now, the right eye seems to be perfect with the Air Optix lens, and he is ordering a Biofinity lens to try on my left eye.... he said for some reason the Air Optix it is rotating too much on my left eye but not on my right.

He said sometimes people have different lenses on each eye. Is this true? I guess I don't really don't care as long as I can see correctly out of each eye.

Hi rileydc.

If you look around this site, you will find a few people who wear different lenses in each eye. It's not common, but it does happen. It's like you said . . . as long as you can see correctly out of each eye, what difference does it make if you're wearing one brand or two right?

What's going on rileydc? Are you wearing contact lenses comfortably in both eyes now?

Yeah.... for the past week they have been fine!!

When I went to pick up the new box of lenses for the left eye, the place had made a mistake and ordered Air Optix instead of the Biofinity.... so right now I have Air Optix in both eyes.... and they both seem to be fine.

The plan was he was supposed to be ordering a Biofinity for left and an Air Optix for right.

The ordering team ordered an Air Optix for left and an Air Optix for right.
I'm not sure if he knows they made a mistake but I figure I will deal with that when it is time to order more.

They both feel fine.
It could also be that I have moved up to the 10th floor in my building, here at work. It was much drier down on the 7th floor where I was before.

this is only my second day of ever wearing contacts...and I am loving these...other than the occasional blurriness that I get...which is from the lens shifting around...as soon as I blink the blurriness goes away. These lenses are awesome.
