Yes, I wear them. I find them comfortable and love being able to see in the morning without having to fumble for my glasses. They are great on vacation and in the summer. It's nice to be able to see who I am talking with and swimming with. I love them for snorkeling and scuba diving. I bought about 5 pair of sunglasses last summer - it was great! Downside- they do not match my script exactly so I do have some trouble reading, have had to learn to make adjustments with holding objects and my head to see better. The reason I bought so many sunglasses is that I need to have some with me in the summer as the bright light bothers my eyes when I have the lenses in. Other than that, they are great and yes, I would recommend them.

Awesome post, pr1nc3ss! Thank you. This is the reason Lens 101 exists. I just have a couple more questions for you.

You said that your contacts "do not match your script exactly." Why not? Didn't your eye doctor check your eyes before giving you that prescription?

Secondly, do I understand correctly that your eyes are more sensitive to bright light when you have your contacts in?

Hmmm. Sorry to hear that. At least you're happy with them otherwise. Thanks for answering.

It's really not too much of a big deal. I have always been sensitive to light. We live in Texas where we get bright sunlight almost year round. Besides it gives me an excuse to buy cute sunglasses.

There are some days that I am tempted to wear them longer than the 5 days my optomologist recommends, they are that comfortable.

Speaking of cute sunglasses, have you seen the sunglasses section of Lens 101?

http://www.lens101.com/sunglasses.html

You can't buy sunglasses on this site, but you can get some good information and, more importantly for the growth of site, answer some of the questions that are already there. Thanks!

I really like Air Optix lenses, but I can't compare because I just started wearing contacts. I am trying to learn to put them in without a mirror. Taking them out is getting easier. I put them in in the am and can't even tell they are in my eyes, I work outdoors in construction and they do not bother me at all. I have been reading the forum and trying to figure out if it is ok to wear all night and for how long. My doctor says to take them out every night but my friends say they leave them in. I would appreciate any advice on this please.

Here's what lens.com says: "Air Optix for Astigmatism are intended for daily or flexible/extended wear (up to 6 nights including while sleeping), as determined by your eye care professional for the optical correction of vision in persons with healthy eyes."

I always say that your eye doctor is your final authority. He or she is the one who knows about the contact lenses and, most importantly, about your particular eyes. If he or she says not to sleep in them, then I wouldn't sleep in them.

Keep us posted on your progress, okay?

OK, I will post my progress. I just was wondering if the doctor told me not to wear them all night because as a doctor he has to. I will try it out this weekend and see how they feel. Thanx for the fast reply!!!

OK I was going to wear them all night last night and no good. I was working on my boat all day..a little dusty...and about 11pm they started to bother me. So out they came. What happens when they get to about the 30th day, do they stop working right? or do they start to bother me? Just wondering....

Hi denalikidd523. I'm glad you were able to spend some time on the boat. I don't wear Air Optix for Astigmatism, but I know a thing or two about sunglasses. What happens after you've been wearing your Optix contact lenses for more that 30 days depends on you. Each person responds differently. Some people start to feel uncomfortable a few days before they're due for a change, and some people feel fine. Just remember to replace your contacts on time, no matter how good they still feel, or there will be consequences.

Okay, you may know about sunglasses, but this is the contact lens section. Did you get lost?

Hi.
I'm new to the forum and new to contacts.
I'm on my 4th day of wearing the Air Optix so my feedback is limited.
I will be sleeping with them tonight for the first time. (monthly trail lenses)
So far I find them very comfortable and aclamates fast to my eyes.
I've done outdoors activities and they've been awesome.
I can see clearer with them than my eyeglasses.
The only times they may not go back to their designed position is if I lay down sideways for a long period of time.

I like 'em very much but I'm afraid that this may be because I'm still in my honeymoon period.....I hope that I'm wrong.

Hi Floridian. Do you really live in Florida? I don't and now that it's getting colder I begin my annual "I wonder what it would be like to live in Florida" daydreams.

I never heard of people having trouble with their contacts moving out of place when they lay on their sides, but it makes senses. Does anyone else experience this?

Yes, I live in FL. The best time of the year is almost here...as the temp is nice & cool, the sun is bright and NO BUGS!!!....LOL

Anyways, please don't take my feedback comments too literal as I'm just a newbie on my fourth day with these guys. My Cornea and eyelid desensitizing was probably on the way when I submitted my first post. I haven't noticed anymore weirdness when I lay sideways.

I'm glad to hear . . . um . . . read it. "No more weirdness" is usually a good thing.
