Default Air Optix for Astigmatism - Can't Find a Heartbeat

You know how on those hospital shows if a patient goes into cardiac arrest the doctors and nurses work frantically to revive them because if they can re-establish a heartbeat within a certain amount of time there's still hope?

Are Air Optix for Astigmatism like that when you forget to put solution in the contact lens case and they begin to dry out?

No, throw them out and open a new pair.

No down time, huh? What if they haven't dried out yet?

You put your contacts in the case, pick out the next day's clothes, brush your teeth, say your prayers, settle into bed . . . and then your eyes snap open. "Did I forget to put solution in my contact lenses case?" you say out loud to yourself. You run over to where you'd set the case and open it up. "D'oh!"

Is it too late?

You might be okay but I would check with your dr. I always make sure that putting solution in the case is the first thing I do. If I have worn them 3-5 days I use clear care which is a peroxide solution and put the solution in th ebottle first before I even take them out.

Thanks pr1nc3ss,

That's a good idea to make sure you've got the solution all set first thing. That probably prevents a lot of problems.

Actually anytime I have my contacts in I fill a case with new solution and have my glasses along because you never know if allergies are going to strike, etc. Then when I get home I put them in the clear care and rinse and dry the contact case for next time I need it.

I agree with Elaine. You do take good care of your contacts. I hope others who read this thread can learn from your shining example.
