I was told every 30 days once opened, regardless of how often they are worn.

No kidding? I always thought that if you had monthly contact lenses you were supposed to replace them after you put them in your eyes 30 times. If you didn't wear your contacts every day, they'd last longer.

Do you have any "restrictions" on wearing contacts that causes you to have to toss them after 30 days regardless? Maybe that's your doctor's personal philosophy. Either way, it won't hurt your eyes, so as always, follow your doctor's advice.

Certainly not the advice of some schnook on the Internet!

I originally thought the same thing - that it was 30 days of wearing. It may well be his personal Preference but he specifically told me toss them every 30 days when I asked him about it. Otherwise it would mean I could use about 7-8 pairs a year instead of 12. But I do what I was told.

Hi pr1nc3ss. Thanks for responding so quickly.

Of course, I wouldn't say anything to contradict your doctor's advice, so if he says throw them away after thirty days, then by all means, do so.

Are you still wearing Air Optix for Astigmatism contacts?
