Default Air Optix for Astigmatism Handling

I've never tried them before, so you'll have to clue me in. Are Air Optix for Astigmatism easy to deal with? Can they be handled less than gently and still survive? Are they comfortable, even for the beginners?

Yeah, they are pretty nice, but I don't know about for beginners. If you do buy them you might need to purchase a wetting agent also in case they dry your eyes out.

I have not worn contacts since a bad experience in high school with hard lenses but I wanted something I could wear overnight on vacation at the beach and my Dr recommended trying these. They are fantastic. I have a problem with protein build up once in a while and have to use a peroxide soak but otherwise they are great and I can wear them up to 5 days. I do need to use wetting drops in the morning due to dryness and my script is not exactly matched so I do have some issues with reading but I love them. I'd say I do a 50/50 between my glasses and the lenses but for me they are exactly what I was expecting. So, yes, a beginner can use them without a problem - never had one rip or other issues in the year I've used them.

Thanks a lot pr1nc3ss. You have some very encouraging words for those who may want to wear some contacts in the future. I think you have helped lot of people with your post. I know I feel better.

I just got these as a trial, switching from Acuvue Oasys. I found the Air Optix a sturdier lense, and easier to put in. Past that, I am still a newbie to these lenses LOL

That's cool, Xanthus. That's why they names this site "Lens101." It's for beginners such as yourself. Make yourself at home.

I'm glad you found some contact lenses that are easier to put in.
