It continually amazes me how many people can be seen wearing sunglasses on a cloudy day, or even on days when it's actually raining. Sure, some people look really great in sunglasses, but when raindrops are collecting on the lenses, it's not such a good look.
Who here can tell me why you'd wear sunglasses when the sun wasn't shining? In my opinion, sunglasses are functional accessories that serve the function of protecting the wearer's eyes from painfully bright sunlight. To wear them when the sun isn't bright would be like wearing a beekeeper's netting to the bank, or heavy leather work gloves as some kind of fashion statement. Who's with me? |

It must be one of those unexplained mysteries of human behavior. Perhaps we'll never know.

Maybe they think of sunglasses as part of their outfit. Jeans, shoes, shirt, jacket, sunglasses. Every day, rain or shine.

So far we have a lot of outlandish theories, but no one has stepped up to tell us why they wear sunglasses when it's not sunny.
Perhaps they're in a dark room with their sunglasses on and they can't find their computer. ![]() |
