Default Altair UCB 458S Sunglasses On Not Sunny Days

It continually amazes me how many people can be seen wearing sunglasses on a cloudy day, or even on days when it's actually raining. Sure, some people look really great in sunglasses, but when raindrops are collecting on the lenses, it's not such a good look.
Who here can tell me why you'd wear sunglasses when the sun wasn't shining? In my opinion, sunglasses are functional accessories that serve the function of protecting the wearer's eyes from painfully bright sunlight. To wear them when the sun isn't bright would be like wearing a beekeeper's netting to the bank, or heavy leather work gloves as some kind of fashion statement.

Totally with you, Havoc. It amazes me how people can wear sunglasses when there's no sun, thinking they look cool; but when they're wearing them on a cloudy or even stormy day, they just look silly. I get the impression that they think they're just so cool that they can't risk eye contacts with mere mortals.

Could be. I'm willing to bet that a lot of those people just don't even think about it at all.

Right there with you Havoc. It's one thing to wear them inside because you forgot you had them on. It's different when it's been cloudy for the last three days and someone's wearing sunglasses.

It must be one of those unexplained mysteries of human behavior. Perhaps we'll never know.

Maybe they think of sunglasses as part of their outfit. Jeans, shoes, shirt, jacket, sunglasses. Every day, rain or shine.

Default Watch Out For The Wall

So far we have a lot of outlandish theories, but no one has stepped up to tell us why they wear sunglasses when it's not sunny.

Perhaps they're in a dark room with their sunglasses on and they can't find their computer.
