Default How Do You Keep Anarchy Goggles Looking Like New?

Do you have any special methods of cleaning you Anarchy Goggles? What's your secret? Is it okay to just use window cleaner and a paper towel? Will that do any damage to them? Is cleaning goggles any different that cleaning sunglasses?

Also, is there anything extra special that you do once a month or something?

Well . . . window cleaner has ammonia in it, and I don't think that's good for sunglasses. Strips off the UV coating or something. You'd be better off using a special spray just for sunglasses, or if you can't find that, you'll probably be okay with glasses cleaner. Just plain water works pretty well, too.

Hmm . . . "special spray just for sunglasses." Do you have a product name?

I saw this stuff on eBay called SunGear aerospray for sunglasses, but for some reason I can't attach the picture, nor can I fond another picture. I'd give you the page so maybe you could bid on it yourself, but the URL has about a million characters in it.

Wow. Sounds like someone doesn't want anyone to buy their spray cleaner.

Yeah, no kidding. At least they told me the name of it.

I tried again to find a picture, but I didn't see anything that looked like any kind of spray to clean your sunglasses with, but I did see several images that somehow made it past my naughty site filter.

I tried a search, but I didn't find any pictures of this SunGear Aerospray stuff, nor did I see any naughty bits that Nursenancy warned about. I tried searching for the name as one word "SunGear" and as two words "Sun Gear." Not only did I have trouble finding the spray stuff, I had trouble finding anything that even made sense. It's like the Twilight Zone of Google or something.

Cue the music . . .

I found a site that talks about cleaning paintball goggles. The suggest that you do not clean them with anything but mild soap and water. Anything stronger may produce microscopic cracks that, over time, may not withstand a barrage of paint balls.
So just soap and water, and the soap should probably be the liquid kind.

Yikes. I would not want to experience paintball eyewear failure.

I do agree with your opinions, it's really a good reply. just soap and water, and the soap should probably be the liquid kind.
Very well said, thanks for sharing.
