Default Anarchy Radney Goggles on a Bicycle

Where I live it's cold and there's still quite a bit of snow and ice on the ground from a series of storms that came through. There aren't many people out on bicycles these days, but there are a few. I saw one gentleman on a bike and had had on a hooded parka and ski goggles. Have you ever worn your Anarchy Radney goggles while riding your bike? Would you recommend it?

Hmmmm . . . I've never tried it, but that doesn't mean I'd recommend it. I remember being in a snowstorm last year and wishing I had some goggles to keep the blowing snow out of my eyes as I was just walking. They have to be even more useful on a bike.

Yeah, I know what you mean. This morning the wind blew some snow in my face. Goggles would have protected my eyes, but probably not the rest of my face. Without goggles I just closed my eyes. That seemed to work just fine, but I was walking. Having snow blow in your face while riding a bike or even something like a snowmobile would be something else.

Good thing you were only walking, UNIT. It may have ended badly if you were riding a motorcycle or something with snow blowing in your face.

You're right, Nursenancy. It could have been a lot worse. Good thing it's springtime now. It's still chilly, but the snow is gone.

I remember riding my bike on a cold winter's day when I realized the sidewalk I was on was icy and going downhill!
Not only that, but at the bottom of the hill was a street and, of course, a car was coming. I had no choice but to bail out. I hit the brakes and let the bike fall. It ended badly, but as you said, it could have been a lot worse.

I don't think goggles would have helped me very much in that scenario.
