Default Anarchy Smooth Goggles - It's All About the Temperature

Time for a little science lesson, kids.

Aw, don't be like that. It'll be fun, listen.

Goggles fog up when moist air touches a cold lens. The water vapor condenses and forms the fog. If you have a good pair of goggles like Anarchy Smooth goggles, they have ventilation holes so that the lenses don't get cold enough to cause condensation. Try `em!

You're right. That WAS a fun science lesson.
However, I think you may be a little confused. That's okay it happens to me all the time. The ventilation in the goggles lets the warm, moist air near your face escape and so equalizes the temperature on either side of the lens. Right?

Yeah, I guess the warm air near your face would condense better than the cold air outside. That means they'd fog up from the inside right?

Unless your breath condenses on them, like they do on glasses.

Great picture, Frodo. I hate it when that happens.

Yes, this poor guy looks really cold.

Ironically, I'm posting this on a beautiful day in the Midwestern United States just before spring begins.

Yeah, it's a beautiful day here, too. Spring is in the air and I suspect that people are beginning to put their Anarchy Goggles into storage for fall.

That's an interesting point, Nursenancy. Where do Anarchy goggles go for the summer? Do they migrate to Siberia or maybe someplace in South America? Perhaps they do whatever the summer equivalent to hibernation is?

I would imagine people will either keep wearing them for summer sports like water skiing, or they'll probably put them in storage right next to their winter coat and ski poles.

Or toss them in a drawer somewhere so they won't find them until January.

Or is that just me?
