Default Are Anarchy Radney Goggles Shatterproof?
Most people who go out and buy goggles like this intend to use them at relatively high speeds, as in downhill skiing or snowmobiling. At such speeds, if you should happen to stop abruptly in a crash, you really don't want something to shatter when it's an inch from your eyes. Can you trust Anarchy Goggles not to do that?

Yes, according to The Snowboarder's Guide (to the Galaxy?) Anarchy Radney goggles are shatter resistant.

Now I'm curious, can you shatter sunglasses in the snow?

I don't think you will shatter your sunglasses in snow; most collisions don't happen to a skier or a snowmobiler hitting snow. They hit things like rocks and trees. Those will mess up your goggles.

What if it gets really cold? Are sunglasses brittle in freezing conditions?

I don't make sunglasses, but I do wear them a lot, and I've not noticed them getting brittle in cold weather. It would probably be best to wear Anarchy goggles though, if possible.

Sunglasses may becaome brittle in the cold, but I doubt that ski goggles--designed to be worn in snow and ice, mind you--would have such a disadvantage.

You're probably right, Nursenancy. I think that the lenses in a pair of goggles are a little on the soft side, aren't they?
