Default Vertical Vision and Angel Duelly Goggles

According to the advertisement, Angel Duelly goggles are "performance engineered for better peripheral and vertical field of vision." When you look at these babies you can see that the frames have some extra vertical height to them. I don't wear goggles very often so I was hoping someone could tell me why a better vertical field of vision is useful.

Thanks.

I've never even strapped on a pair of skis, so I don't know how much help I'll be, but I'll try.

If I were to ski, it would probably be on a mountain, which are usually tall. You're either looking up at the top, or looking down from the top, so a good vertical field of vision would come in handy for this reason.

Works for me. Thanks Zoey.

Anyone else want to give it a go?

(I love pretending I'm British.)

I'm glad I could help, and give you an excuse to post a picture of a guy wearing a bowler hat.

You're right, Zoey. Those are some very good reasons why you'd need a pair of goggles with a good vertical field of vision when you're skiing.

Yes, it is.

So does anyone else have a comment about the vertical height of Angel Duelly goggles?

Well . . . that particular pair of goggles up there is pink. That's something, isn't it?

Yeah, they must be pink for all snow bunnies.

Yeah, that's a picture of a "snow bunny" but I think many Lens 101 members were hoping for a picture of a rather different nature.

That's just what I wanted them to think . . .

Like Zoey said, most people wear these goggles while near a mountain where most of the view is vertical. Goggles with a lot of vertical height would probably be useful in any activity that involves mountains.
