Default Apollo AP 126 Eyeglasses - Fly Me To The Moon

Fly me to the moon
Let me sing among those stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars

Spring on Jupiter and Mars? Very cold.

Speaking of moons, have you seen the Apollo line if sunglasses? I found this pair to be quite interesting with mesh temples. What do you think? If you wear them yourself, would you mind posting a quick review of about 50 words or so?

It's nice to find some Sinatra on this site. It gives it a touch of class. It's good to know that not all Internet forums are infested with semi-literate teenagers. In fact, I look around this site and I see very few posts that are written in "text speak."

Anyway, about the Apollo glasses. I kind of like those mesh temples. It's something different but not outlandish. I don't actually have a pair, but I would not be opposed to buying a pair.

Thank for your input Mondas. Do you think that mesh would kind of defeat the purpose of sunglasses though? Mesh doesn't block the sun very well after all.

If I'm mistaken, that mesh thing stuck to the window in your illustration is a sun shade, is it not?

Don't you mean "if you're not mistaken"?

I don't think you are. That looks like a sun shade to me, Mondas2.

I don't know about you, but whenever I see the word "Apollo" in my mind's eye I see something like this:

That's probably not a bad mental image for selling eyeglasses, is it Logopolis? Powerful rocket lifting off for the ultimate adventure, smart people, brave people, working together to achieve an amazing goal. Yeah, I'd buy glasses that promised me all that.

Yeah, and put some astronauts in sunglasses and you're all set.

Okay so it's a grainy picture. Give me a break, it was 1969.

Hey, look, I'm quoting myself.

This will draw in a special crowd, if you're out there, people. Here's another mental image that comes to my mind when I hear "Apollo":

Here they are, John and John from They Might Be Giants, and in this picture they're both wearing glasses. No word on whether either of those glasses are Apollo brand.

Perhaps John and John would be interested in a sponsor ship deal. I can see it now. "They Might Be Giants, presented by Apollo Eyeglasses."

I think They Might Be Giants might just go for that. They might even write a song about them. They've already written a song about mammals.
