I know that you can get specially colored sports contact lenses that allow you to play better in sports such as baseball or golf by helping you to see the ball better against sky and/or grass. Can you buy Autoflex sunglasses with special lenses that do the same thing? What color would be best for playing baseball? You’d need something to let you see the ball against the blue of the sky as well as the green grass.

For baseball, you might want to try some brown lenses that will make the ball look brighter and the grass look darker. |

I've heard about that. Brown lenses increase contrast, so you'll probably be able to see the ball better. Can anyone tell me if this really works?

I found this Oakley ad that explains why their expensive sunglasses are perfect for the Great American Pastime: Whether you’re zeroing in on a heater or fielding a pop fly, you can’t afford anything less than precise, crystal clear vision. That’s why we unleashed our obsession for the game by combining the best technologies in the industry. Our Straight Stem geometry is engineered to work with batting helmets, and that’s just the start of a design that leaves conventional sunglasses in the dugout.
The lens is interchangeable, so you can get extras to keep up with changing light. Our HIGH DEFINITION OPTICS® (HDO®) features patented innovations like POLARIC ELLIPSOID™ geometry for a wide view of the strike zone. HDO® clarity is so good, this sunglass beats all ANSI Z87.1 optical standards — which means your eyes will give your brain a true picture of the play, not a distorted image like ordinary sunglasses. To keep your vision clear, our permanent HYDROPHOBIC™ lens coating repels sweat, skin oils, and even dust from the diamond. The frame is made of durable, lightweight O MATTER® and it stays in place with UNOBTAINIUM® components that actually increase grip with perspiration. Two nosepiece sizes let you adjust the fit, and both are included. Oakley’s Three-Point Fit rewrites the book on comfort and holds the lenses in precise optical alignment. When a liner targets your face, it’s good to know that this eyewear meets all ANSI Z87.1 standards for high mass and high velocity impact. RADAR even takes advantage of PLUTONITE® lens material to filter out every baking ray of UV, not just UVA and UVB. Any questions? |

That's Bettie Page in the skimpy baseball uniform, isn't it?

What color contacts help make playing baseball easier? Did Fresa answer the question? |
