Default Inserting Avaira With Wet Fingers

Do you wet your fingers with saline before you insert your Avaira contact lenses? I've heard that people do that sometimes so the lens doesn't stick to their finger. Does it work as advertised?

hmmmmm,

Never heard of that. I do rinse my fingers in sensitive eyes saline and pat dry with a lent free towel, but for me, inserting any lens with wet fingers=a disaster for me! My trial Avaira's don't ever stick to my finger...they go in smooth.

Why would inserting your contact lens with a wet finger be a "disaster"?

LOL, because it's too slippery for me! I've never liked wearing contacts or putting things in my eyes, but I put up with it because I can't wear glasses on a regular basis without someone breaking them (usually my youngest daughter who is very rough when she plays).

I make sure both of my hands and fingers are dry, however, I always put one drop of the blink drops into the lens before insertion, but it doesn't get my finger wet. No one can avoid a completly dry finger when inserting (not even me) since you have to use your finger to get it from the case, but I try my hardest to make sure my finger stays dry while inserting. I've inserted with wet fingers before and I couldn't get it in! It kept sliding around in my eyes, popping out, ect....I guess i'm just weird, or OCD, about how I handle my lenses, clean them, ect......i'm a weird-O

Well, if you're a weirdo, then you'll fit right in with me. I could use some company.

So you like to use a dry finger, otherwise the lens falls off, right? Some people use a wet finger and some use a dry finger. Those who wet their fingers probably have had the lens stick to a dry one.
