Look for the following points when purchasing good quality sunglasses.
- The sunglasses are actually general or specific purpose sunglasses and not "fashion spectacles." - They carry a label that indicates they comply with or exceed the requirements of AS 1067, are rated EPF 10 or 99% UVA & B protection. - The sunglasses absorb more than 95% UV rays (or transmit less than 5% UV rays). Some sunglasses may even provide 99% or greater UV absorption. - If the sunglasses are to be used while driving, then colors should still be easily recognized when viewed through the lens.
