Why are sunglasses called “binns” in certain parts of the world?
I know that in British countries, a “bin” is the place where you put your “rubbish”. Yet I heard that sometimes sunglasses are called “binns.” Do we have anyone from the international community that can help me out here? Are sunglasses really called “binns”? If I went into a London eyewear shop and asked to see some Banana Republic binns, would they look at me funny and mock my American ignorance? Would the direct me to another store to a place where I can buy a container for my rubbish? |
