Default Berkshire Chase Sunglasses in England

I heard that sometimes sunglasses are called “binns.” Do we have anyone from the international community that can help me out here? Are sunglasses really called “binns”? If I went into a London eyewear shop and asked to see some Berkshire Chase binns, would they look at me funny and mock my American ignorance? Would they direct me to another store where I can buy a container for my rubbish?

I did a Google image search for "Berkshire Chase binns" and didn't see any sunglasses. Then I narrowed it down to just the word "binns" and I came up with a lot pf pictures of people with the last name "Binns" but still no sunglasses.

I think maybe someone may have misinformed you, BigJim.

Really? Oh well. It wouldn't be the first time.

I'm glad you have a positive attitude, Jim.

Seriously though, binns? Sounds like some kind of cockney slang like "leg it."

I thought by now that we'd have some British members telling us about the proper usage of the word "bin" but nothing so far.

They're probably all busy watching "Being Human" on BBC Three.

Honestly, what is it with vampires? If you want to be successful, do a TV show or a movie about vampires. It doesn't even have to be good, just show a handsome young man with fangs and you're in.

To have a popular website, watch this.
Mention the title of the show. Check.
Put series name in the title. Check.
Post picture of "Being Human" vampire hunk. Check.
Mention actor's name, Aidan Turner. Check
Mention character name, Mitchell, who apparently has no last name: Check

Now . . . Stand back and watch the hit counter explode.

Humans . . .
