Default Do I deserve a refund?

If my optician can't fit me in bifocal gas permeable contact lenses after 6 visits and 3 sets of contacts, do I have a right to return them and get a full refund?

He told me he had no idea why I couldn't see AND he charged $450.00 up front and refunded only $250.00. Is this normal practice? Is there someone I can report him to? Or am I SOL?

(My vision through his "machine" was never clear so I assume that's why the contacts were wrong each time.)

You should NOT get a refund. The charge is for a contact lens fitting! You are paying for thier time. If it doesn't work...it's not thier fault. Do you ask for a refund from your Dr. if you cold doesn't go away! They would laugh at you! You are paying for this persons expertice some times people don't work well with contacts. If there was a 100% fool proof way of determining who is and who is not a good candidate for contacts without trying. This person used thier knowledge to see if you could wear contacts. You paid for that and thats what you got.
