Someone on another site asked if you can get bifocal contact lenses. Someone replied with "Yes, but they're really expensive."

Well yes they are more expensive per box. Have you tried looking up prices online?

I'm new to this forum and just posted regarding my experience. I believe the cost for the fitting exam was close to $400.00 bucks and the cost of the lens, as I recall was around 100.00. They are supposed to las about 3 months. They are super lens however but the exam cost every year is really a sticking spot for me. Especially if the first fit doesn't work cause you only get one trial pair!!!

I forgot to add that mine are C-VUE 55 Toric Multifocal so maybe the toric component added to the huge cost.

I checked www.lens.com and they have Proclear Multifocal contact lenses for about 50 bucks for a box of 6. That sounds like a pretty good price, better than blindsopt's quote of $100, for C-vue contacts, but I couldn't find that brand at www.lens.com.

Yes but my C-vues are TORIC Multifocal. They are totally custom fit to exactly my astigmatic curvature with a special machine. Come in a bottle and are supposed to last 3 months. Unfortunately, need a new rx each year and I was hoping to find out if anyone with this lens can tell me if their eye doc charged to big exam price for the next years refit... it was hugely expensive as is this custom toric multifocal lens but they are awesome.

Well, at least your contacts are "awesome."

I just had my annual eye exam in May, but I don't remember how much it cost. I think it was something like a hundred dollars, but don't quote me on that. I usually go to a local eye doctor at his office rather than one of the chain stores. Is that what you did, too?
