I just read something on another site and I thought I'd come to Lens 101 to help me find the truth.
The story was about someone who just got monovision contacts. The contact lens for seeing close up was put in his right eye and the distance lens was in his left. He said that he can see fine at close distances, but things far away are blurry. Someone suggested this his problem could be addressed if he just switched contacts and used the left eye to see close up and the right for distances. Could it really be that simple? Just a matter of lenses in the wrong eyes? I'm no eye doctor, but it seems to me that he has the wrong lenses period. If he switched eyes he'd have the same problems, just on the opposite eyes. Can someone help me with this puzzle? |
