I have read that it's very difficult to get a pair of multi-focal contact lenses that work better than a pair of plain old reading glasses. It seems that if the multi-focals allow you to read, then distance vision is fuzzy. The opposite problem is also there, and what good are contacts if you can't read with them? If you need help reading but can see well in the distance, would you be better off with the reading glasses?
