Default Are Bifocals the Only Option for Presbyopia?

If someone needs help seeing things that are close up, do they have to wear bifocals? People who are near sighted wear single-vision lenses, so why can't those who are far sighted?

I'm near sighted and I wear bifocals. I need help to see distance but those lenses wouldn't allow me to see things close up so I wear bifocals; the top part for distance and the bottom portion for reading.

When I was younger I was able to read and see distance from the same prescription but not that I'm older my eyes have changed a lot so now I need the two.

I don't really like the bifocals so I might end up getting a pair of glasses for distance and a pair of reading glasses.

What's new skatts? Are you using two different pairs of glasses now?
