Default Whats wrong with Biofinity?

Hi guys. I used to wear Acuvue weekly -3.50 for my right eye and it was totally fine. But today I got Biofinity and having trouble focusing, I went back to the doctor and she gave me ones with astigmatism but I'm still having problems. I can't really describe what it is but basically Acuvue was better even though they are both the same pwr. It's kinda blurry and words are like all over the place. Please help.

Hello Playhead

I tried Biofinity about 6 months ago and initially I had trouble adjusting to the vision. I wore soft annual lenses for about 30 years prior to that and was surprised that I needed time to adjust. (I did have a minor problem with the prescription strength). However, after 2-3 weeks and a correct prescription, I found the Biofinity lenses extremely comfortable.

It may be a case of giving your eyes a little more time to adjust to the Biofinity.

Thanks for answering Playhead's question, Knotlob. You've saved me some research time.
Tell me about those 2-3 weeks you spent adjusting to your Biofinity lenses. Was it worth it? Were you worried they would never be right after three or four days?

Well the lousy vision initially, when driving back from the optician's was worrying, but that didn't last so long (couple of days).

I honestly thought the prescription in one eye was too weak (normally both my eyes have the same spherical prescription) as I could see better with the stronger lens when I swapped them between my eyes. But when I went back to the optician a week later, she said actually the stronger lens was too strong.

When I bought a new pair of biofinity 1-2 weeks later, I found the right eye much more comfortable than with the previous rebranded Biofinity lenses. (I have some minor astigmatism in my right eye which was probably causing greater discomfort there).

But with the new lenses comfort was superb, even wearing them long hours/day.

So was knotlob right? Was it just a matter of getting used to the Biofinity contact lenses?
