I am wondering if there is somebody who is having same issue as mine and/or somebody who has heard that Cooper vision is officially is recalling some Biofinity tric lenses that was sold Feb
My story is like this: Friday- I was wearing old biofinity tric lenses (bought in Jan). comfort and visions are perfect. Saturday- I put a new ones that was ordered on the end of Feb and my vision were very blurry and they were causing me a severe headache, which is same kinda headache when I was wearing contact lenses without astigmatism. (note both contact lenses have EXACT same prescriptions) This makes me think that the manufacture put wrong contact lenses (non-tric ones) into toric cases with a wrong prescription label. Has anyone heard such a incident? An even optometrist doesn't know what is going on. This is really frustrating issue and it would be great if somebody can help me. thank guys. Mac |

hi Superschwin
thanks for your reply. I did google but neither did I. a recall would be the only explanation that would make this issue sense. contact lenses were bought in Singapore. do you think if this has something to do with this issue? i can put 2 different barcodes (i think you can identify when is a dispatch based on this as contact lenses has same barcodes if they are dispatched and distributed on a same timing/ month ) here that's 1) perfect 2) causing this issue. does it help? |

Here's part of what HowStuffWorks.com has to say about the UPC codes. "The manufacturer identification number is the first six digits of the UPC number -- 639382 in the image [below]. The next five digits -- 00039 -- are the item number. The last digit of the UPC code is called a check digit. This digit lets the scanner determine if it scanned the number correctly or not." I didn't see anything that said that the UPC code could identify where the product came from or when it was produced. The manufacturer identification number may contain that information, but it was not specifically mentioned in the article. |
