Exclamation Tried Biofinity today for the 1st time...

...and I couldn't get them out! I sat in the dr's office for 25 mins trying to get them out. Granted, I've never tried disposable contacts before, but this was just crazy. I got one out by accident because my nail peeled it off and it fell out then the dr. had to end up getting the other one out, but she couldn't do it either and she had to numb my eye. I'm going back for training which I hope helps because they were really comfortable while I had them on.

I find mine come out easier if I put a couple of eye drops in first to rewet them and loosen them from my eye. I also can't use the pinch straight out off the front of the eye method. To get mine out I hold my eyelids as if putting lenses in, place a finger on the lens and slide it to the side of my eye. I then find it far easier to pinch out.

If it's any consolation, I really struggled with mine when I first got them but now I can get them in and out no problem.

Yes, I tried both those methods at the office haha. I've just never had contacts this thin or flimsy before. The only soft contacts I've ever worn were meant to last a year so they were thick. Other than those, I've only ever worn RPGs and glasses. It was just a little frustrating. I'm sure I'll get it at the training session, but I have to wait over a week for that

Hang in there VNey88. Think if it this way: maybe you got all of your contact lens trouble out of your system now.

If it's because they're so thin, maybe you could try applying a little more pressure as you take them out. I know when I switched to these lenses I needed to pinch a little firmer to be sure I had hold of them.

Thanks for sharing your personal experience, KatKatKat. I hope that VNey88 finds your posting helpful. It sure helps a lot when someone can come alongside you and say "That happened to me too, and here's how I fixed it."

It's because the cornea of the eye is soft try pulling the contacts down to the white of your eye then pull it off there where it's harder

Good idea Johnoppa. I've heard that before. Hopefully it will work for VNey88 and anyone else who might be reading this.
