hi im new to wearing Biofinity contact lens im still having the same problem as before my contact len in my right eye keeps blurring and goes up as soon as i look down a bit fast but my left eye is ok and my optician looked at my eye and said that the contact len is fitting ok so i dont understand why im still having this problem could it be that my right eye lower lid is thick and keeps pushing the contact lens up every time i move my eye a bit fast

sometimes that effect is caused by a dry lens surface and the upper lid dragging the lens up.

Its also seen in conditions like GPC ! But only a slit lamp and biomicroscope examination can determine this. Its not unusual for certain patients to have different tear films in both eyes....and slightly uneven lower and upper lids.

It sounds like you'll need to make an appointment with your eye doctor, jay781. Hopefully you don't have GPC, but if you do, seeing a doctor can be a very good first step in treating it faster.

Hi thanks for the reply i dont think its GPC because iv had this problem for a long time my eye don't hurt or anything iv been told that it might be the fitting but i tryed a little test my self i held both my lower eye lids down and looked down to see if the right eye contact len would move or blur it didnt as soon as i let go of my eye lid it started to have the same problem as before it would move and go up and blur i think im just not cut out to wear contact lens i really hate wearing glasses i feel like a geek so i think the problem is my lower eyelid is to thick

lf this is a fitting issue due to the curvature of your cornea....you may be better fitted with a RGP lens.

sounds like the lens is sitting loose. Unfortunately soft contact lenses come like shoe sizes and in-between fits are not available...

RGP lenses can be custom ordered to fit each eye precisely and better than soft lenses for this with challenging eyes to fit.

If u still want to stay in soft lenses...I would fit you with a less soft material so that it fits better.

Don't be offended, but could you please use capital letters and punctuation? It's kind of hard to read your question if I can't tell when one sentence ends and the next one begins. Take some time to read over your posting before you click on "Submit Reply." I want to make sure that the people on this forum understand you clearly.

That being said, the problem you described sounds more like a matter of the lens being a bad fit. I think your eyelids are probably fine. Don't give up on wearing contact lenses just yet. I think you might have to go back to the eye doctor and have the fit checked. I hope things get better for you.

From what iv been saying what do you think the problem is? do you think it most likely fitting problem or could the contact lens be too loose on my cornea? Do you think it could be to do with my lower eye lid pushing it up. Because when i move my right eye and look slowly my right eye contact doesn't blur or move but as soon as i move my right eye a bit faster when i look down it moves and blurs its really bugging me this problem is if anyone had a similar problem or same problem like me please let me know PM me thanks.

I'm just guessing, but I think that the lenses might be too loose. If it was too tight it would probably stay in place but feel uncomfortable. If it moves around, it's probably too big.
Lots of people use shoes as a way of explaining how contact lenses fit. If your shoes are too big, they will move around when you walked and probably rub some blisters on your feet. If they are too small, they won't move but will cause pain and pressure. Does that help?
