Hi guys,
I'm from Australia and here the people who prescribe contacts are not doctors (optometrists) and if I'm honest I don't think I've been given any good advice regarding some of the issues I have been having. The first few Biofinity comfilcom A pairs were fine but gradually over the year they have been gradually get worse and worse. I have been experiencing: 1. The lens wont sit correctly on the cornea. 2. After I remove the lens it feels like there is a foreign object in my eye. 3. My eyes are crusted shut in the mornings 4. Some days the lenses become cloudy - I noticed I could improve this with lubricating eye drops - but as soon as they dry up a bit, the cloudiness returns. If anybody knows how I could improve/fix these problems OR better yet have any suggestions as to what kind to lenses to try next as all the people I have seen here in Australia have not been helpful at all. Much Thanks! ![]() |

Well, I had some issues too with bioinfinity. Blurriness and extremely hard to remove were my issues. the lens is so slippery that it never comes off the cornea. I tried Acuvue Oasys after that and also Air opti. In my opinion, Air optix is nice. Talk to your optometrist, and I think optometrists are fine, they are traned in these things. So go ahead. Many countries have optometrists dealing with these things and I go to an optometrist too

The crustiness in the morning is a sign that you might have a slight eye infection. Make sure your lenses are extra clean as well as your hands - try not to rub your eyes (either with lenses in or out). Don't sleep in your lenses. You can rinse the eyes a bit with sterile saline or other eye drops. If you have had a cold or hayfever etc it can cause this too. It probably isn't anything serious, but if it keeps happening I'd go to your GP or optician for a checkup, just in case.

Thanks, yeah i thought i might have a slight infection. Anybody know of any other kinds of penses that they find were good alternatives?
Also am I correct in assuming that the fact that the contacts sometimes have a tendency to become off centre is that theyve been torn? |
