Biofinity AKA SiH 48

I heard that eye doctors sometimes prescribe a contact lens called SiH 48 to their patients, which is, as the say, "not available in stores, but only through this exclusive doctor's office special."
Then I heard that SiH 48 is just another name for Biofinity contacts, which are easily obtained on line.

Is that true?

Is that legal?

So . . . wait a minute. Do you mean to tell me that eye doctors lie to their patients when they say "You can't buy SiH 48 on line, you have to buy it from my office" when in reality they can buy them on-line, just by asking for Biofinity?

Biofinity is made from the breakthrough Aquaform material that allows greater levels of oxygen to freely flow through the lens to the eye. Higher oxygen supply lenses are known to create whiter and healthier looking eyes for most contact lens wearersIt is the same material but not same name.
