Biomedics 38 contacts are designed to be worn for a week or two. From what I've read here on Lens 101, if you wear a contact lens for too long, it can result in something called 'corneal neovascularization" where new blood vessels grow in your eye to compensate for the lack of oxygen.
That's what I know. Here's my question. How long does this process take? Do you start growing these vessels as soon as you start wearing the Biomedics, right at about 15 days, when you enter into the danger zone, or does it take even longer to develop? |
