Hi, I've got a question about international medical standards. Here in the States, Biomedics 55 contacts are sold as two-week contacts. You wear them 14 times and then throw them away. Now I hear that these same contacts are sold as monthly contacts in Europe. How can this be? Is there something different about Europeans that allows them to wear contacts longer? I'm being serious. It's no secret that we Americans are not all that careful about our own health and well-being. From what I've heard, it's even more so in Europe. So why would two-week contacts in America be sold as monthly overseas? Are the Europeans being too lax or are the Americans being too careful?
