Default Biomedics 55 Contacts and Bright Eyes?

I was told that someone who switched to Biomedics 55 looked different right away. His friends said his eyes looked "brighter," not as dull as before when he was wearing a different brand. Is this a genuine effect?

Has anyone told you that your eyes look brighter? Increased moisture might explain that phenomenon.

Being a new contact lens wearer I was about to give up on being able to find a brand that worked. Finally after 7 other brands and trial pairs and several weeks of trials, I was given the Bio medics 55 contact lenses. They are very comfortable & easy to insert and I never feel them. They are also very affordable for anyone. This is my favorite Bio medics contact lens

I'm glad you like the new lenses. Has anyone told you that your eyes look brighter?

I use to wear those, and a friend asked me if I was wearing colored contacts, because my eyes are medium brown, and the lenses made them look just a tiny bit lighter, kinda with some green. It made them look hazel or something, mostly just under the light. Not sure if it was the lens, or maybe my eyes change color with my mood or color of my clothes. lol

Has anyone ever told you that contact lenses make your eyes look dull?

That might even be a better question, Sevateem1. I'm reminded of a sketch where Benny Hill was asked "Are you hurt bad?"
His reply was, "have you ever heard of anyone being hurt good?"

Love that expression. My sister used to call that "the B. Hill look."

Yes, it's a classic comical take.

So was that a good thing that your friend asked if you were wearing colored contacts?

Yeah, if someone asks you if you're wearing color contacts, they might think that your eyes look so good that they probably have some help, or they might be thinking about how phony they look. It's a double-edged sword.

It's also a good indication of how well people know you and pay attention to things like your eye color.

I´m a contacts wearer for almost twenty years and never b4 feeled such comfort. Currently i'm wearing biomedics and I really have that brighter vision. I tried also acuvue, purevision and many more, but biomedics for me is the best lens.

Thank you, jockero. That's a great summary of your contact lens experience. How would you like to help other people in this forum with their questions about the other lenses you've tried? We could sure use your help in answering questions.
