How often do you clean your Biomedics Toric contact lenses? Do you have it scheduled for very Monday or something, or do you just take care of it when your contacts get really gunky? What about disinfecting them? Do you disinfect them when you clean them?

I'm curious also to know if Monday is Cleaning Day for some people. Maybe some people use a calendar and clean their contacts on the first of the month or something like that?

If you're talking about cleaning them in a general purpose storing solution, like Replenish, I do that nightly. I was told that you should remove them before bedtime, and obviously, you have to store them in some sort of lens solution. So I do a finger rub/rinse before storing them for the night. I do a peroxide soak every three nights, and can get a month out of the lenses easily. The cleaner feeling after the overnight peroxide soak is obvious.

Now, when you say you "can get a month out of them easily," is that how long your eye doctor told you that you can wear them? |

DISCLAIMER: Note the words "the eye doctor told me." Just because odile53 can use this cleaning method and wear his/her 2 week lenses for a month doesn't mean you can. Always follow your doctor's instructions. There. I feel better now, don't you? |
