Someone was talking about contact lenses and said not to "thrash" them. He went on to explain that this refers to wearing them longer than the manufacturers intended.
Have you ever heard of this term, or did he just make it up on the spot? Maybe you Lens 101 readers can help me invent a slang term. Your assignment is to 1) tell me whether or not this is a real word, and B) if it's something new, try to use it in a sentence as often as possible. For example: "Does Jessica Simpson wear contact lenses? If she does, I hope she takes them out as scheduled and doesn't thrash them." This could be big . . . |
